• A non-profit, non-governmental organization established in 1965

• Representing 58 member countries: cavers, cave scientists = speleologists, and karst researchers = karstologists

• Officially registered in Slovenia (Europe) since 2002, with a permanent office in Postojna

• Member of the International Science Council

What we do:

• Promote scientific and technical collaboration globally

• Focus on exploration, interdisciplinary research, education, protection, conservation, and management

• Cave exploration and multi- and interdisciplinary studies of caves and karst.
